Moulin Rouge
Mounlin Rouge is about a beautiful love story that with its songs touches everyone´s heart.
The story happens in Paris(could there be a MORE romantic place?),in its famous cabaret house, as the title of the movie states, Moulin Rouge.
Even though the story may seem a little "boring" it excites all with its songs and events that lead unfortunately to a really sad ending.
It is produced with some of hollywood´s biggest starts including: Nicole Kidman, Ewan McGregor, Jim Broadbent,John Leguizamo, Richard Roxburgh, and Kylie Minogue.
Most of its songs are not really made up specially for the movie... but here they are with its greatest melodies:
- Your Song
- Sparkling Diamonds
- Spectacular, Spectacular
- We Can Be Lovers
- Come What May
- El Tango de Roxanne
- One Day I´ll Fly Away
- Like a Virgin
- Lady Marmalade
This musical is different from all others, touching everyone´s feelings. It should definetely be seen by everyone who likes romances, and drama movies...

RENT
Rent is a musical about,I think, everything we see in the world today. Every problem from health to material things.
The story is about a group of friends that each one has some kind of problem: either it being AIDS or GAY,LEBIAN,LOVE, MONEY and they are all connected to each other. The best thing about this musical is that it is most of the times very realistic, funny and even touching because it shows how people in our world struggle to surpass this obstacles.
Anyways, it is one of my favorite musicals, and the songs are great (the majority are made for the musical itself) which makes the musical EVEN BETTER!!
Here are its songs:
- Seasons of Love
- Rent
- Light My Candle
- Another day
- Out Tonight
- Will I
- La Vie Boheme
- Without You
- Today for you
- I´ll Cover You
- Your Eyes
- Tango Maureen
- Take me Baby, or Leave Me
- Over the Moon
you have never seen this musical i strongly suggest that you rent it and see it. I Can guarantee it wont be a waste of time and that it certainly is a movie you cant miss!!!

Across the Universe
I´m going to start with Across the Universe, a musical composed ONLY by Beatles songs. Even though most people think musicals are cheesy and as brazillians say "brega" Across the Universe is different. First of all it is based on one of the world´s most famous and best bands EVER- The Beatles. Secondly it has more of "life" situations not really MOVIE FANTASY (involves war, death, love), and third and lastly ITS JUST GREAT!!! I love this musical and it is DEFINETLY one of my favorites ( Have seen it like 10 times). If you haven´t seen it yet go NOW to a video store and rent it, I guarantee you won´t regret!
Since the songs on the movie iare all from The Beatles, i dont have to say that they are great right? We all know how good their songs are, and in this musical the versions of the songs are evn better! I have hem ALL in my ipod and i NEVER get tired of listening to them... I know you know them all but here are the ones that are sung beautifully in the movie:
- Across the Universe
- Strawberry Fields Forever
- Dear Prudence
- All My Loving
- Dear Prudence
- Hold me Tight
- I am the Walrus
- Let it Be
- All You Need is Love
- Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds
- Hey jude
- With a Little Help From my Friends
- Come together
- I Want You (She´s so Heavy)
- If I fell
- Revolution
- It won´t be Long
- I Want to Hold Your Hand
- Something
I really love this movie, and if you haven´t seen it YOU SHOULD!!
ps: DON´T WANT TO SPOIL IT BUT JUST FOR YOU TO SEE HOW GREAT IT IS TAKE A LOOK AT THIS SHORT CLIP FROM IT... ohhh and YES THE CHARACTERS HAVE NAMES FROM SONGS (JUDE, LUCY, PRUDENCE...) ENJOYY!!!

The Killers back!!
It will happen on November 21st 2009 and tickets go from 200-350 Reais.
Although they are no U2, The Killers have achieved greatness (especially this year) with their new songs and are being considered a geat band by a lot of people.
I never really liked their style of music but after listening to some of them on the radio or on tv (like ER series) I really appreciated and liked their songs. Here are some of their super famous ones (MY FAVORITES) you MUST have listened to before:
- Mr. Brightside
- Somebody Told Me
- Read My Mind
- When You Were Young
- I've Got Soul but I'm Not a Soldier
There are a million other REALLY good songs from them which, even when you think you won't like, you end up liking it (at least it was what happened to me). So if you never listened to any of these songs above try one or two and see if the same happens to you!
I am reaaaally looking forward to their concert and hoping I will be able to go.
